Rep. Sykes Issues Statement Ahead of State of the Union Address

Washington, D.C. — Today, U.S. Representative Emilia Sykes (OH-13) released the following statement ahead of President Trump’s 2025 State of the Union Address. 

“I will be in attendance tonight to hear President Trump deliver the State of the Union and I’ll be listening for his plan to lower costs and increase opportunity. So far, what I’ve seen come out of the White House does not address the rising cost of gas, groceries, housing, or healthcare. It's not meeting the needs of Ohio’s 13th Congressional District and it's not addressing my constituents’ top concerns. Tonight, I hope President Trump moves past the ‘move fast and break things’ approach to governance that isn’t working and puts forth concrete plans that help American families.”
